Chris is an Ivy League-educated attorney with over 30 years of experience handling all types of insurance cases as both a claims adjuster and an attorney including several million-dollar cases. Chris scholarshipped in ice hockey and attended Cornell University where he majored in psychology and minored in law.
Upon graduating, he worked for 9 years as an adjuster for 3 large property & casualty insurers in Massachusetts handling all lines with a concentration in casualty cases. During that time, he secured the Associate in Claims (AIC) and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations from the Insurance Institute of Pennsylvania. Chris then attended New England Law in Boston where he won CALI awards for top student in Insurance Law and Criminal Law, and graduated with honors as a member of Law Review.
While in law school, Chris secured a clerkship at the largest insurance services firm in Boston/New England focusing on insurance coverage and casualty litigation prior to passing the bar in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire followed by an association. During this time, Chris taught AIC-36 Liability Claims Adjusting at the Insurance Library in Boston. Chris next worked for a plaintiff personal injury firm for a few years before associating with a well-known insurance defense firm on the North Shore of Boston for about 5 years. During that time, he worked on a series of significant, million-dollar cases.
Chris next associated with a mid-size, established insurance defense firm in Burlington, Massachusetts for about 5 years again working on significant, million-dollar cases. He spoke at a series of seminars put on for insurance adjusters. Chris then went to work for himself as a solo attorney handling insurance defense and plaintiff casualty cases, property insurance disputes, as well as criminal defense and business matters. During this time, he had related articles published in The Standard – New England’s Insurance News magazine and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Chris has tried over 30 cases to verdict with a win record of over 90%. He has similarly handled a large number of arbitrations and mediations, and several worker compensation hearings. Chris has also successfully briefed and argued cases before the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (the highest state court).
