New Hampshire's Queen City

Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire. Located on the Merrimack River, Manchester is about 25 minutes north of the Massachusetts border, and about 51 miles from Downtown Boston. Manchester’s skyline is still dotted with the old textile mills from the 19th and early 20th century, many of which have found new life as stylish commercial and residential space.

Since its heyday as a mill town, Manchester has become a leading New England center of commerce. Major industries include banking and insurance, technology and healthcare. Most recently, Manchester has become a leading hub for biotechnology research and development. Manchester is also home to many large sport and event venues, and colleges and universities, including St. Anselm College and Southern New Hampshire University.

Manchester has a lively arts and culture scene, and is home to the Currier Museum of Art, the Millyard Museum, and the SEE Science Center. One of its latest claims to fame is the 2023 declaration of Manchester, New Hampshire as “The Chicken Tender Capital of the World”, with the Chicken tender having been invented at the “Puritan Backroom” restaurant in 1974.

Our Manchester office is located on Elm Street, on the 19th floor of the City Hall Plaza building, the tallest building in both New Hampshire and Northern New England. This office is well known for its litigation practice, including  insurance coverage and defense litigation, and a highly regarded Appellate Practice that has argued many NH Supreme Court cases. The office also has a strong Energy and Communications practice, as well as Construction Law, Employment Law, Corporate Law and Banking Law.
